Entry requirements
We’re looking for leaders of the future, so we’re after people with lots of experience and a clear vision of where their skills and knowledge can take them.
Highly-motivated, ambitious, resilient, tenacious and politically astute, you’ll be prepared to challenge and be challenged. It’s also important that you have exceptional people management and interpersonal skills, plus the desire to help people and make a real difference.
To join the programme you need to have a thorough understanding of the NHS and belief in our vision, goals and values, plus have the support of your current CEO or senior personnel in your organisation.
In addition, you must:
- Be employed by the NHS/ health care sector in a substantive management post (Agenda for Change Band 8 or above - or medical equivalent)
- Be qualified to at least degree level or equivalent
- Have experience of leading complex projects or services
- Have had resource and/or people management experience
- Have had responsibility for a budget
We also require people to meet the majority of the competencies and skills outlined in the NHS Leadership Qualities Framework (LQF).
