Core modules
The core modules are 3-day residential events designed to help participants increase their knowledge in certain areas, acquire new skills, hone existing skills and adopt different behaviours.
- Module 1: Introductory Module
- Module 2: The Director’s Role
- Module 3: Quality and Productivity
- Module 4: Understanding Politics
- Module 5: Appreciative Inquiry
- Module 6: Whole System Simulation
These modules also involve the following elements -
Action learning sets
The action learning sets will convene four times over the 18 month programme and provide participants with a forum to discuss application of learning at key touch points in the programme.
International elective
A one week elective designed to bring an international perspective to the participants.
Service improvement projects and consultancy projects
Both elements are designed to bring an element of experience to the programme. The projects will put into practice learning from the core modules.
