Leading the way to a diverse leadership workforce
That’s what Breaking Through is all about, and it works by identifying, supporting and guiding people from black and minority ethnic (BME) backgrounds with the talent and potential essential to assuming senior leadership roles.
The Programme leads the agenda but allows individuals to lead their own development. There are opportunities to design personal development plans, gain support in career planning and progression and build on leadership skills. The Programme also provides a platform for the issues facing BME staff in the NHS.
In addition, the Top Talent Programme has been designed to provide a comprehensive development approach to help equip senior BME leaders with the skills to excel at Board level and fast track their thinking to director level.
